Flash player 11 on Adobe labs.

Today Adobe announced that flash player 11 is available on labs for beta download. It’s been in incubator release for a while.

We’ve been working with it for a while looking to tap into the GPU acceleration. We’ve found some interesting points so far; limitations, capabilities, hardware issues.

A little sneak peek is that we’ve been working on creating something that runs at 1080p with lots of dynamic motion. Without GPU acceleration we’d have been quite limited to what kinds of things we could have created; with the Molehill API’s, we’ve been able to push even further.

Look for some more posts on flash player 11 and how one of our latest projects using it turns out.
