Google Glass

Still frame from Google Glass submission video

The Google Glass Explorers program granted early access to Google Glass... if you could get accepted by submitting an idea for an app.

Our app submission idea

Glass could allow one to be bombarded with more social media, or more news feeds, but we wanted an idea that would actually be helpful from a hands free perspective.

We figured it would be great to have real time feedback on your exercise to keep you moving, in this case we focused on running.

The lengths we goto

To create the video we went for a run outside with our phone strapped to our head. This way we could collect footage that had the bounce of running in it, the breathing of the runner, and the vantage point from someone's head.

We then leveraged Illustrator and After Effects to create motion graphics to describe the run and overlaid them on top of the footage to imply what Google Glass could achieve in our submission video that could be at most 15 seconds.
